Background
Recombinant P/CAF is useful in HAT inhibitor screening, kinetic studies and HAT substrate cleavages in vitro or in tissue culture. P/CAF can also be used as positive control in HAT activity assay. The recombinant P/CAF (p300/CBP-associated factor) encoding human sequence from 492 to 658 of accession number Q92831 was produced from E. coli and then purified by several chromatographic steps.
