Background
HDHD1A, also known as haloacid dehalogenase-like hydrolase domain-containing protein 1A, belongs to the adiponutrin family. This protein is of interest because it is an X-linked gene that escapes X-inactivation. It is particularly important in the understanding of human X chromosome structural organization as well as the mechanism of X-inactivation. Recombinant human HDHD1A protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography.
