Background
GPR62 has been reported to be expressed in several brain regions, including basal forebrain, frontal cortex, caudate, putamen, thalamus, and hippocampus. ESTs have been isolated from anaplastic oligodendroglioma and ovarian thecoma fibroma libraries. Mouse and rat brain libraries have also been used to isolate ESTs. G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs, or GPRs) contain 7 transmembrane domains and transduce extracellular signals through heterotrimeric G proteins.[supplied by OMIM]
